coloradogrl 13 Posted April 2, 2013 Congrats! I'm sure things will continue to go well! April 10th is my day. Getting down to the last few days! !! Thank you, and good luck to you. I just wanted to share a suggestion for sleevers, your throat gets really sore from the tube and if they leave an NG tube in to suck blood out of your stomach over night. I requested a chloroseptic spray for my throat and they approved it and brought some in. Ahhh momentarily relief, lol. Now back to sleep. Zzzzz
BlueBonnet 15 Posted April 2, 2013 I'm having surgery on Thursday. (YAY!) one question I keep forgetting to ask...approximately how long does the procedure take? 1 Carole Flower reacted to this
coloradogrl 13 Posted April 2, 2013 I'm having surgery on Thursday. (YAY!) one question I keep forgetting to ask...approximately how long does the procedure take? The actual procedure is around 1 1/2 to 2 hour, buy you'd be in the OR for around 3 hours for all the prep work and stabilizing your breathing and sedating you. Then you go to PACE for like 1 to 2 hours to recover from anesthesia, then up to your room . Hope that helps.
