Zombie Apocalypse… with sleeve?

Recommended Posts

Don't have to worry, cause brains is slider food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Let me eat your brainnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!"

This is very true... if we become zombies, we'd just be a bunch of fat zombies... which means we'd all just be fat bitter and angry zombies!! Otherwise known as, the worst kind.

It's so funny you started this thread! Today during my four hour nutritional class (right about hour three when I was bored and nodding off anyway) the presenter got to the part about taking Vitamin supplements for life and how vitamin deficiency could lead to death, yadda yadda, I thought to myself well I am screwed if we have a Zombie Apocalypse. Being the class clown I am I almost said it aloud but I looked around and realized I was probably the only one who knew what a Zombie Apocalypse was. I am glad I can now have other people who know why I chuckled to myself over it.

I guess I'm not the only one who watches too much walking dead haha

Post op I think we all have a better chance of surviving. My pre op self so would have gotten eaten first lol. I think the sleeve is a good post apocalypse choice over RNY or the band- less chance of Vitamin deficiencies, no maintenance like with the band. I think we're good! :D

Now I'm daydreaming of the day I reach goal weight, and am fit enough to wield a badass samarai sword as mightily as Michonne...you know...should I feel the need.

I'm pretty sure, given a badass samurai sword, I could find a reason to wield it like a badass. Perhaps not a valid one. But I could find a reason. You bet your sleeved and soon to be sleeved butts!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
