devichan 79 Posted February 27, 2013 I'm trying to think of ways to make the changes I'll be making fun. One thing I've thought of is making my lunches both pre- and post-surgery with a bento box. I was thinking of getting little, decorate-able containers for Protein powders, skim milk powder, and arranging them in cute ways with bouillon cubes and drink mix packets for the first few weeks and then little spice containers for my purees and later meals. It'll let me measure things more precisely and look cute instead of "a bunch of powder." It really won't take any longer than measuring stuff already does. I was also thinking of starting to slow down my meals by cutting them up into tiny bites (as I'll need to later anyway) and learning to use chopsticks. What do people think of this? Has anyone done anything similar, tried it? Am I nuts? 1 RebecaSparkles reacted to this
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted February 27, 2013 I know someone not sleeved who uses chop sticks to slow their eating and to eat less. They love it now. Not so much when they weren't skilled at it It's a good idea! Best of luck!

devichan 79 Posted February 27, 2013 Ooh! I love the thought of using the little Chinese cups instead of toddler bowls. What a great idea! Pamper myself with something nice... I like it!
ginamaria 31 Posted February 27, 2013 I was thinking the same thing about smaller fun bowls, in fact was at Walmart today and saw these small fruit bowls in fun colors. Couldn't decide then decided to go to the world Market tomorrow and check into some fun Chinese small bowls. I deserve some cute bowls that only handle a small amount, Portion Control right???lol!!! Might as well make it fun!!!

Probably would have slimed far fewer times.
supercatwoman2003 0 Posted February 28, 2013 My hubby lived in Japan for a few years during his military time, he makes me a bento box every day. Its so fun, and my box is really cute. 2 containers with removable sections, black bottoms the lids are blue with white anime rabbits carrots and flowers. Reason why I liked it. Came with chop sticks to fit in it. There's so many meal combos you can do, its and endless possibly.
courtoomp 107 Posted March 1, 2013 I use a bento box! It's the best and has its own lunchbox to carry it and to put an ice pack. I pack it every morning with some of the following: Homemade tuna salad (tuna, ff Greek yogurt, Sriracha, celery, capers, touch of mustard) 60cal cheese stick wrapped in low sodium turkey Greek yogurt with low sugar strawberry jam Hard boiled egg Cottage cheese with salsa Toasted almond slivers It's fun to use and soooo helpful! Maybe I'll get some chopsticks too to slow me down even more
