How bad is it that I get 80% of my daily fluid requirements in the AM?

Recommended Posts

Before I started working out I would get my required Water intake daily but it was somewhat of a struggle. Now that I go to the gym every morning I can easily drink 60+oz of water during my workout. When I get home I might drink another 20oz throughout the day/evening. Is this bad that I get the majority of my water intake in the morning and not spread out throughout the day.

Interesting topic so curious what others have to say. The only thing I can contribute is some research I learned some time ago. From a hydration standpoint, our bodies can only absorb about 8 oz of Water every 20 minutes. So, if you drink more than that the extra Water just flushes through your system and doesn't contribute to rehydration.

That being said, you could still be drinking enough water, but would be possible to still be dehydrated. At least that's how I'd interpret the 8oz/20min fact.

I have heard something quite similar. Based on that it seems like a good idea to spread it out more.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
