elisa 33 Posted February 27, 2013 I'm almost 7 months out and I'm shedding worse than a dog. Anyone else experiencing this? I see my dr next week but wanted to hear personal experiences from people.
TheGamer 406 Posted February 27, 2013 Yup, most of us are. It just happens. Even if you get all your Vitamins, all your Protein, all your minerals, take Biotin, zinc and everything else. It doesn't last, it does come back... or so I hear. I'm leaving hair everywhere still.

rosehips 121 Posted February 27, 2013 I am starting my 7th month & I started noticing my ears showing thru my hair and overall bad thinning 1 month ago. After flipping out in my mind, being sad, worrying & pretty much anything else negative I have overall accept it. I did buy Boitine pills & take 5mg per day, wash my hair less, dry it more gently & bought Pantene hair thickening Shampoo. I was using Paul Mitchell shampoo & cond. which I think is a better product but I felt desperate. I see no difference. The final thing I have done is to pull my hair back & clip it up. Next I might go to the mall and buy some fake hair that you clip on to look like you have fuller hair. I hope you feel better since you know someone else is flipping out, I know it is a temporary thing, I probably would have done the surgery even if I knew temporary baldness was coming. Also most people say they don't notice, they are usually looking at my shrinking hips!!!! YEAH

FABby40 38 Posted February 27, 2013 This may helphttp://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art16071.asp great article! Thanks for sharing! I've been really worried about the hair loss issue after surgery (scheduled 4/20/13) because my hair has already begun thinning, especially in the front-top. I started taking Biotin, and applying Mioxinol solution (the main ingredient found in Rogain). I'm also taking a supplement called NuHair. I am trying to get my hair as healthy as possible BEFORE surgery....who knows if it will do one darn thing, but I wanted to at least give it a shot. I only started a couple of weeks ago and the Mioxinol says it will take 4 months to work! I'll have to report back later if I had any success.
aharris75 11 Posted March 19, 2013 Make sure your dr checks your Vitamin D level too! When I was 2 years out and STILL losing hair I was just a basket case. After a ton of testing they found my Vitamin D3 level was seriously low. That was about 4 months ago and can tell such a BIG difference! Lots of new growth! Takes a month or so to catch up, then it'll start growing!!
