I'm 3 days post op. anytime I drink, no more than an oz at a time, I get that tightness feeling. How long does that last?

For me, it lasted about 7 days. Then it got easier, but I still have to be careful about how big a sip I take at once - even at 8 weeks post-op.

Good to know. I try not to drink more than an oz. every 10-15 mins.

Thanks.

It's going to be a couple more days you're very swollen take it slow no sense in hurting every time you drink try ice chips or warm tea the temp of the stuff you drink makes a difference sometimes..

Lasted almost two months for me.

I still have issues with plain Water. I do much better with tea or flavored water.

For me, that only happened when I took a drink, instead of a sip. It still happens if I forget to sip! Good luck:)

When you say "sip", do you mean like lips to the edge of the glass and slurping up a little liquid or just small amounts that you "drinK" into your mouth? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but clearly there IS a difference between a sip and a gulp?
