March sleevers anyone?

Recommended Posts

After a long haul I am down to the final countdown 10 days and hopefully I will be in my hospital room recovering from the best surgery decision I've ever made I am overwhelmed with emotion mostly being excited and if I think too much I get a little nervous but I know that this is the best decision that I can make for myself and my future I'm not sure what I'm nervous of maybe the new lifestyle that I will be living but I know that that is what I need to do in order to be healthy this has been a long time coming I was supposed to get the surgery in July but I got tonight for my insurance company because they say obesity is a pre existing condition so we waited and resubmitted on January 21st I finally got the approval and had set up my surgery for February 11th but God had a different plan for me I went to the hospital the last Tuesday of January and found out later that night I need my gallbladder removed the thing that relieve me the most was that I found out that my bariatric surgeon was in fact a general surgeon and he performed my gallbladder removal surgery I know he's a great doctor and I am excited to have him working on me. So now I am fully recovered from gallbladder surgery and I'm setting up for surgery on March 6 it's the final countdown for me 10 days and I start my new life. How was every other March sleever feeling

Luckily my dr didn't put me on a preop diet. Don't get me wrong I am NOT going out every night and eating my face off but I am enjoying foods and I know that I will not be able to have for a while I think the freaking out part just comes because it is the fear of the unknown my girlfriend's sister was sleeved I believe a year ago i talk to her often and she says that it is the best decision she ever made the best advice that she gave me was to keep my eye on the prize she said by no means is it going to be easy but take it slow listen to your body and know and trust that it will not be like this forever!!

I'm having my surgery on March 6th, as well and I've been on a roller coaster for the past week. I'm stressed trying to get all my office work done before surgery and I start a liquid diet on Wednesday. At least I get to see the ladies at the support group one more time before the surgery. I know they'll put me at ease. Today I bought about six different Protein shakes to get me through my week of a liquid diet. I have powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury powders as a backup, but plan on using those after the surgery!

Thank you I think it is fear of the unknown. Everyone I have talked to says it has been amazing and the best decision they have made. I know it won't be easy but it will be worth it. You are lucky you don't have a preop diet I'm really nervous for mine.

Hi Rick. I'm march 20. I'm right there with everyone on the nervous thing BUT I also think I'm more excited than I'm nervous. My husband is diabetic so the dietary change for me will benefit him as well. If, through me, I can help get him off his meds, then this will be a double win for me. You and I and all of us will be strong through this and, we too, will soon be saying that this was the best decision we have made. Be strong, my brother!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
