You look fantastic, what do you think you did that has made your experience get the outcome you want? How much weight have you lost so far?

Thank you darlin! I think for me it has been patience, perseverance and determination. It's a lifestyle change for sure. Being loving and kind to myself. Accepting the stalls and being creative to trick my body into losing again.

Best I can say is follow all the rules, don't beat yourself up if u stall or slip up. Stay around positive people who are encouraging. Drink lots of Water. A cheat day once a week once you're further into your journey and closer to your healthy bmi. Cardio and weights. Yoga and stretches also help. Track your caloric and Protein intake. And honestly a healthy sex life has helped me. Lol. Best overall workout.

Wow , you look so beautiful. I'm with you about doing this a long time ago. I wimped out two years ago because a friend had a terrible outcome. She was just wimpy and all drama. I can just kick myself for listening to her.

I remember being pre-op and my favorite thing to do was look at progress photos and dream :) I am 6 months, 10 days post op and I am down 128 pounds total. This isnt a very great pic since I have been sick, but i still took it because anything is better than my before!!

Niki - you look FANTASTIC! May I ask what your starting weight was?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
