I'm resting this weekend and NOT taking any OTC meds (Tylenol, aleeve, etc) Ice and rest... My question - should I push out surgery because of this? Thinking NO, but wanted to ask.. Started my journey at 369lbs and today I'm 349.... I'm mentally ready...
DrmBig4Evr 152 Posted February 23, 2013 My first inclination is to say no. On the other hand, will you be able to walk appropriately after surgery?
linda1000 7 Posted February 23, 2013 I think as long as you can get up and walk around you should be ok. Remember, getting up and moving is a part of your recovery. Good Luck.
SoCalDixieGal 172 Posted February 23, 2013 Agree, I dont' think you need to push it out as long as you can walk some. You're not walking a marathon, but up and down hallways. It's kind of a fine line - walk but don't overdo the walking. When I told my doc I was resting for an hour then up and walking for about 5 minutes then repeat, he said that was good. But aside from that, if it's not a major twist you'll probably be healed enough by surgery time that it won't be a problem.
