Heyher 581 Posted February 22, 2013 So I keep reading on here how GasX helps with gas pain. I am struggling to find documentation on how GasX helps absorb the Co2 they pump in you. Most of what I have read on line states that it is actually pain from nerves being displaced in the diaphragm due to the pressure of the Co2 and is not actual gas. So do the GasX really have a medical benefit or is this more of a placebo effect?
Groovinchikin 49 Posted February 22, 2013 While I don't honestly have a scientific answer for you, I can say that it helped me during the first few days. It very well could just be a placebo effect, but it sure did help me! Plus the strips have a nice minty flavor that I enjoyed.
dust 54 Posted February 23, 2013 gas-x has no effect on the co2 used to inflate your stomach. it's for the intestinal gas after surgery. i was sleeved on wednesday and the intestinal gas came on strong last night. gasx has helped some but it's not a cure all.
