Increase amount of calories when exercising?

Recommended Posts

I'm just 10 days out and am supposed to have between 400 to 600 calories a day. I started exercising in the past couple of days. If for example, I burn 100 calories, does that increase the amount of calories that I can consume.

No I don't believe so. That means you are burning off an extra 100 calories and getting closer to goal. The best of luck to you..

I just listen to my body and I've always believed that you need adequate amounts of calories to fuel your workout. I take a spin class twice a week and if my cals are low my workouts turn to crap and I burn way fewer calories. For my workouts I need to eat at least 1000 cals and plus I breastfeed but my total cals average out to about 1000 a day but I admit that I rarely count cals. I also eat carbs because that's what you need in order to have energy for exercise.

Sounds like you have got to know your new body and what it's needs are. That alone = major success!

Best to you! :)
