I Have Restriction!

I'm so excited, I'm hoping it last! The doc filled me up to 3.8cc's and this morning I'm drinking liquid calories (a no - no) but I didn't want to PB, so I thought I would take it slow today. Three drinks of this frozen coffee drink and I'm full. I'ts taken me over 45 min and I'm still only 1/2 way done with the drink. Man, I hope this fill works!

Audree, wonderful news. You are an inspiration!! And I've toyed around with getting the quickslim since you first mentioned it...but the loss was coming without it. But I've been on this plateau for a couple of months now and would like to get a boost!! Maybe its time to order some.

Hello all...I am still dealing with this "complication", although now the doctor thinks it's all because of me. Just a recap, my port came up from the muscle in April. I had it reattached on 8/27, but experience the same sort of discomfort every so often, particularly after working out. It feels like a side cramp, but I know it is my port. I have an extremely rigorous workout routine, including intensive training sessions and spin classes. I am going for a CT scan this week just to assure that the port is still in place. I am arguing with my doctor, telling him that my workout regimen is a nonnegotiable because I am so close to pre Tummy Tuck goal lol. Regardless, I am still so happy with my decision.

This is my before and after picture...the "after" picture isn't really indicative because I have lost weight since then, and this is before my workouts started.

I am down 69 lbs, with a goal of 11 more by Thanksgiving so I can start planning my plastic surgery. I broke the threshold from "obese" to "overweight" lol. I am 171 lbs. My long term goal is 145-150. I can't complain.

Glad to see that everyone else is doing well. Such a good feeling for all of us, and it hasn't even been a year yet. Nice.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
