BuffaloCarol 6 Posted February 23, 2013 ZOINKS, you guys are freaking me out. I had one and only one food funeral and that was 1/2 of a submarine sandwich. I did it with my husband's blessing. I just hope it wasn't too close to surgery which is on Monday. Maybe the Miralax will clean that all out. Carol

KristieAtkinson 589 Posted March 1, 2013 Yes this is true. I'm in a sense proud of myself because during these 5 days I have been faced with cake and ice cream and hogies and cheese steaks and I didn't give in. I just had to have that salad dressing on my salad. My future is looking better thanks to u guys I'm ready for tomorrow:-) How are you doing, Shakur? Just wanted to check in on you! shakur154 55 Posted March 2, 2013 How are you doing' date=' Shakur? Just wanted to check in on you![/quote'] Awwe thanks KristieAtkins! I have made it. I had a party last night and one tonight that I won't be attending. Just can't chance being around birthday cake and not having a slice lol. I learned so much about myself during this journey with the sleeve. I'm a emotional eater for sure and I never realized that before now. I work and also go to school at night and I found it very hard to maintain after a rough day at work and school. So I'm praying that I find other outlets for stress besides eating. Monday is my surgery day! I'm excited and nervous. Thanks for checking on me:-)

delta_girl 931 Posted March 3, 2013 The first 2-6 weeks of post op are not easy. You will feel (possibly) hunger, depression, exhaustion, confusion, regret, panic, defeat ...along with energy, exhilaration, focus. The better your "head space" and commitment, the better your results will be. And early compliance is key.
