MestizaBander 43 Posted March 14, 2014 If you can handle eggs then maybe you can make deviled eggs, tuna fish, or egg salad. I buy frozen Italian meatballs and bake in marinara sauce and top it with Italian cheese. I eat cheese sticks for a snack. Chili topped with cheese or Wendy's chili. Baked sweet potatoes or refrained Beans topped with cheese. 2 ApplevsOrange and HealthyNewMe reacted to this

GretchenInDE 6 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) Zucchini, Tomato and Onion Soup: This is delicious and low-fat! I'm also in the pureed stage, and this Soup got me through this first week. I have discovered that baking everything first adds a richness and depth that most other methods of cooking (before pureeing) don't offer. 2 zucchini, sliced 1 tomato, sliced 1 onion, sliced 1 small jar basil pesto 1 C non-fat cottage cheese 1/4 C parmesan cheese Grease a 9x13 pan. Layer the zucchini, tomato and onion. Combine the pesto & cottage cheese and pour onto veggies. Sprinkle parmesan on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Dump all into the Vitamix or blender and puree. Enjoy! Edited July 13, 2014 by GretchenInDE
NurseTammy 8 Posted August 5, 2014 Right after I was allow puréed I went away for my anniversary. I packed some food, but, figured I would eat a lot fish. I spoke to my NUT. We decided to stay with fish, chicken and eggs. Break everything up really well then take small bites and chew. I was able to eat about 4 teaspoons of food. One night I ordered chicken pad Thai plain I had 2 noodles, 3 small bites of chicken and 3 bites of egg. Done! The next night I had a small plate of salmon I smashed the salmon with my fork and put extra sauce on it. I took 5 small bites and stopped as soon as I felt slight pressure in chest a sign my NUT said means your full. I felt full for about 4 hours too. I did notice I salivated more afterwards... What's that about?
HawaiianTexan 44 Posted December 7, 2014 When people say they eat chili are they pureeing it? Like ground turkey, Beans, etc cook like normal then just puree it?
roundisashape 712 Posted December 8, 2014 That's what I did yesterday - pureed a can of white chicken chili. Still pretty lumpy otherwise, but tasted just the same After last night's lime chicken, I wanted something different. Tonight was beef cubes cooked down in the crock pot with a packet of onion Soup mix and plenty of Water, then blended. Between what I have in the freezer now and the ingredients for ricotta bake and refried Beans, I think the rest of the puree time is pretty much covered for me. Everything is frozen in 1 ounce increments in foil wrapped ice cube trays.

mjfx2 31 Posted April 15, 2017 pureed cottage chesse isn't "gross". It has the consistencty of Greek yogurt. For Breakfast, I did pureed cottage cheese with a little vanilla extract, cinnamon, and artificial sweetner. It tastes like a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting!Another treat: 16 ounces low-fat cottage cheese pureed with 1 small envelope of sugar free Jello powder - makes four 4 oz. servings. strawberry is my favorite, but any flavor will work.Sounds like something I'd like to try one I get to puréed 2 mybariatricjourney and Oct2017as reacted to this
