Cold Medicine Recommendations?

I am 3 weeks out and totally congested. Any nasal spray or cold remedies anyone can suggest? I can't even sleep through the night! I asked my doc what I should take - she told me Children's Benadryl but its not working. I'm exhausted and can't breath. Im real close to just shooting some Afrin up my nose which I known is frowned upon in general.....Help!!!!

I would suggest using a saline wash like the netti pot. I have used this for years and know it's safe. It helps clear the sinuses with no drugs. You can also just get the salt and lay on the bed with your head hanging over. Then fill your nose with the saline. It will bubble up into your sinuses. Let it there for a few minutes then let it drain out into a bucket. You'll be amazed at what comes out -it may take a few times to get clear.
