What does your doctor say? I had white foam too. Go see your doc and get it checked out.

I only got this when I ate too fast or when I ate something my tummy didnt like ( example, at 6 weeks I still couldnt move past the mushie food stage for the most part)

you may be progressing, food-wise, too soon or your tummy is rejecting certain things.... Im nearly 6 months out and am JUST able to eat red meat...

I' was sleeved on 1-8-13 n I'm having the same issue I would rather drink than eat. I can eat solids now but I'm very limited in my choices love Jerky will stomach boiled egg chicken just doesn't taste the same. Anything I try it will sit for about 10min. N then that jumping nervous starts then the foaming. I'm calling the nurse today I want to know is this normal. Can I stick to my diet juices n ocassionally eat something new if I feel the need. My husband wants to take me to dinner n I'm so nervous I don't want to get sick. We r having a date night n being sick is not my idea of romance. DO ANY OF U GUYS HAVE ANSWERS WHAT'S THE LONGEST U CAN GO WITHOUT SOLIDS N IS liquids OK N FOR HOW LONG???????????? PLEASE HELP I NEED ANSWERS VST FAMILY :(

I'm 3.5 weeks in and still foaming, being sick and hardly managing any liquid food, nevermind anything else! My surgeon said it was fairly normal for 4-6 weeks....

this is not enough information and I have no idea what yo mean by you eat no more than 10 teasoons a day. You are telling me you eat 1.6 ounces a day?

I'm sorry, you are going to have to provide more than that if you want anyone to be able to provide you with any meaningful information.

Harsh tone Grace! Not sure what you don't understand from the original question....

SK - I know I'm a few weeks behind you, but I feel your pain, and as I'm on 4-6 teaspoons on a good day, I can believe where you are at 9 weeks! The foaming seems to be commonly referred to on this forum as 'sliming' and most people experience it. Advice given to me is that as long as you're generally heading in the right direction, you're doing ok.... One day we will manage the prescribed intake! All I can suggest is if you're worried, keep in touch with your Dr / nut.

Im 4 weeks out and experience it when I eat anything that my stomach doesn't like. I notice when i go to the grocery store and I walk near the seafood department I get nausea and feel sick. My doctor told me to take my time adding new foods. I can tolerate dark meat chicken, tuna fish salad, and items from my pureed stage. I have tried some other foods and had the same effect so I have gone back to eating what my stomach tolerates. So don't worry you are not alone. I know a couple who had to stay on the same food items for 3 months out before they stopped feeling like vomiting when eating. As my doctor said everyone bodies are different and many foods we could eat pre op we may not be able to eat post op this I have found out all to well.

Thx for understanding luchie' date=' ive been given sickness meds, which helps alot. Whats ur update so far?[/quote']

Glad your meds are helping :-)

Including the 2 week pre-op, I'm about -20kgs although I've now hit a wall which is dementing!!! Apparently it will pass.... I hope! I swing between eating nothing to eating 4-6 teaspoons once or twice a day, although I've had one really good day where I ate 3 times! Woo hoo!! My liquid intake is getting better, and on a recent really good day I got in 1 of the 2 litres I'm supposed to be having, so it's getting there...

I have my 1 month check tomorrow, so I'll see what they say then....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
