Thanks guys. I didn't think I'd be so emotional about it. But it sucks.

Martin...Its so sad, I understand how you feel about everyone there.. I would of done what they thought was best too, like you did. But my sense of right and wrong would of been in over drive!

What happened was wrong! That adoption agency was wrong and you HAD the dog.. They should of dealt with the mess the made and not demand him back!

:(

Omg...how awful! My only hope is that this was meant to be...meaning maybe there is another little one out there who needs a home and will only be complete if you choose him.

That is the perfect way to look at it!!! There is another darling baby waiting for you!!!

With a name like Deja Vu Du I had to check to see if you were from New Orleans.... Florida isn't too far away though! :)

So unfair& traumatic for the dog& u guys!!! How can they take back a dog. I got mine on Monday from a foster & they wanted $250 in cash. Sounded totally sketchy so I said check & a receipt or no deal. Still think they might try taking her away& they haven't given me vet records.

That's is so sad! I'm so sorry you had to go thru that.

I love that you adopted from a shelter! There are so many unwanted dogs out there. You will find another one who will love you unconditionally I'm sure of it! Don't give up on the furry ones, they are awesome!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
