My 3 month photo made me cry

Recommended Posts

Ok so my husband was going through his photos in his phone today and came across these old pictures of me and I swear I never looked that way. I was sleeved on November 8th. Pre sleeve I was approved at 272 lbs.. Went into surgery 8 lbs less. Today I weigh 219. I don't know who that person was. I hope I never have to remember.

I completely understand. I once wrote on here...I want to cry for her...that girl I see in the pictures....the old me...I feel so sad for her. I can see all the pain in her eyes. She feels like she trapped in a prison, which is in fact her own body.

I thank god every day for my new start in life!

Congrats on your weight loss. I know where you're coming from. When I was at my heaviest, I could look in the mirror and know that the image I saw wasn't the real me and I wasn't suppose to look that way.

I hate it. The old pictures that is. I look at that and think what was I thinking that I looked good? Thank God that my husband never thought that. He has always told me the complete opposite it fact. Luv him.

Congratulations on your weightloss so far. You look amazing. I know exactly how you feel about seeing the woman that you once were. I keep telling myself that I am striping layers off of me everytime my weight goes down. We are all healthy people stuck in a fat suit and we finaly got the zipper oiled to take it off.

Holy crap, maybe I'm just really tired, but this made me tear up. Is that how I'm gonna see myself? Man. That's powerful stuff right there.

I've deleted all "fat" photos for so long, I'll be lucky to find much in before photos.

That is how I feel. I was so depressed, and sad all the time. I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything because I was so embarrassed by my weight. There wasn't a minute that would go by that I wasn't thinking about it. Thankfully I am starting to finally be freed from my prison body! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
