San Antonio Texas - Dr Wright

Recommended Posts

Hi Margaret. I'm from Houston but have family in San Antonio. I was told a Dr. Rincon is someone I should talk to. Do you mind telling me how much Dr. Wright charges? I will be self pay and am looking for someone outside of Houston who may be under $15,000.

Hi Redi,

I had my surgery in Monterrey, Mexico by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. He charges $10,000. He was a great doctor, but because of my work schedule, I have not been able to go back to him for my fills. Thanks to one of our fellow bandsters, I found Dr. Fred Maese in Dallas, TX. He is now charging $10,000 for the lapband surgery and he charges $200 for fills that he does with flouro. Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Angela

I wanted Dr. Wright and Carcamo to do my Lap Band but my loan fell through and my insurance only pays 50 percent after you jump through all the hoops. I cancelled my first appointment tomorrow at the diagnostic center to get the process rolling. I'm so disappointed. I'm not up the roller coaster ride with the insurance at this time. Best wishes in your journey I loved the center that Dr. Wright uses. Bobbie in Ingram / Kerrville area.

Hi. I was banded by Dr. Carcamo on the 23rd of this month. I have my one week follow up on Tuesday. I will ask then as well, but do you know when the support group meetings are?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
