Lots of people eat Wendy's chili. It is pretty good. Home made is better, though.

I make an easy chili for my family:

1pound ground turkey

1 red bell pepper chopped

1 green bell pepper chopped

1onion chopped

I small can Tomato paste

1 can diced tomatoes

2 cans black Beans

1 can chicken stock

a handful of chili powder to taste And garlic powder, salt, pepper..or if I'm feeling even more lazy I just use a packet of chili spices and disregard the directions on it! Brown the turkey I'm a big pot Dump the rest in and cook until peppers are tender

I make my own too. I get the fantastic food brand...vegetarian chili (I am not a vegetarian, but used to be)...and I follow the directions...but I soften bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and squash in a frying pan with some evol. I then put everything in my crock put and let it sit for a couple of hours...delicious.

Since I have nobody to eat the leftovers of what I cook, it's Wendy's chili all the way. For two bucks and some change I get like 2-3 meals. It works!

Hormel's Cook-off series.

These are pretty good.

My wife makes a mean chili. My mom did ,too.

I have to be careful with chili, my overeat food.

I keep a couple of cans of Trader Joe's Organic Vegetarian Chilli in the cupboard. Nobody at my house really likes chilli so I get my fix this way. I will make my own when its really cold and I am really motivated.

I found the Wendy's chili to be too hot and thin. However, I had the Applebee's chili and LOVE it! I eat 1/3 of it for a meal, rest in the fridge for the next day. They have curbside pickup so I order it on the way home from work and pick it up 5 minutes later.

Not sure if you have a Texas Roadhouse by you but I love their chili. I cook a lot but have never mastered chili.

In our grocery store (HEB) in our seasons aisle, we have a box called 2 Alarm Chili. It has all the seasonings you will need, and the directions. All you need is your meat of choice. It is easy to make and REALLY good. I cannot wait for chili.....:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
