Oh,no! I'm 517 pounds.....

Oh, no! I'm 517 pounds.......on Jupiter.

http://www.explorato...du/ronh/weight/ < check your weight on other planets.

That is, if I could stand the crushing gravity and stand on a gas planet that would be my weight.

I'm only 36 pounds on the moon.

So what's your point, Gman?

The scale ony tells you how much gravity is pulling on you because you are on the Earth. Your weight does not mean as much as your composition...muscle, fat, bones, etc. Those are the things that determine your welfare.

Don't let that little, flat buttinsky scale push you around. Let it talk and then tell it to shut up.

Love this! I am constantly saying to people...stop weighing yourself! Go by your clothes and inches. I started in a size 24-26....now I'm a 7-11....don't need a scale to tell me I lost weight. I only weigh once a month...keeps me from going crazy! Lol

I have decided to unfriend my scale, I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow and while I did lose 19 in 2 weeks it hasn't moved in 6 days. Don't worry I'm not all freaked out I'll never lose again, i wont make one of those crazy posts of " whats going on" :)

I've decided to go with the flow and the pounds will drop. I'm paying attention to my measurements, I like that better.

I agree about the mind, I had a revision from a band and I initially lost, then nothing so I do have that going through my mind. I researched this much more then I did the band so I'm confident if I do what I'm suppose to be doing I will see the results.

Good luck to you :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
