Thinner Peace 24 Posted February 20, 2013 How do you treat Addisons Disease when we arnt suppossed to take cortisone? And what about weight gain as a side effect of the meds?
Sassygirl06 962 Posted February 20, 2013 I haven't heard of this being a possible side effect to vsg, however if you already have Addison's then it very well could be something that could prevent you from receiving vsg. Hopefully this was just a question and not a reality for you. Good luck!

moms2big 0 Posted August 15, 2014 I had gastric bypass in 2005. I was just diagnosed in January of 2014 with Addisons disease which is why I keep having hypoglycemic attachs (my blood sugar drops as low as 42). I was told by an endocrinologist that it is from having the surgery.
moms2big 0 Posted August 15, 2014 Sorry I forgot to mention that they put me on hydrocort. I was told I will die if I don't take it. Yes I have gained 20 pounds back but I am still trying. My problem is when I have glycimic attacks I have to eat or drink something sweet.
