I have been having headaches for the last few weeks..and feel tired...and before when I was losing I had so much more engery...something just does not feel right...my yearly physical is not due till Feb..but wondering if I should go see my family dr and see if maybe I need to adjust my medication....

I would like to hear what other people have experienced...which there blood pressure medication...

I would strongly recommend that you check with your doctor. That being said, I did go off of my BP medication about 2 weeks ago. After I'd lost about 40 lbs., I started checking my BP every couple of days for a couple of weeks. It was consistently lower than normal, so I went off the med (Norvasc, 5 mg). Since then I've checked several times, and it's never gone above 130/80. Usually it's more like 120/70.

By the way, I also went off of my diruretic and potassium on my own, right after surgery. Now I just take thyroid hormone replacement. I won't adjust that without lab work indicating a change is necessary.

Yes, it is very important to check with your doctor. The first time I started feeling a litte dizzy so the doctor dropped my prescription from Toprol XL 50mg to 25mg. After losing another 20lbs (total of 50lbs) my blood pressure dropped so low that I was dizzy, light-headed and almost felt like I was going to pass out. It was 80/50. After dr. checked me he took me off Toprol all together.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
