Easter in Mexico!

Recommended Posts

I'm in room nine at florence. I was the last one sleeved yesterday. And apparently the first one up walking. I feel sore' date=' some pain immediately after the anesthesia wore off, but its much less now. I slept most of the day and evening, now I'm wide awake at midnight! Lol, just can't sleep all day![/quote']

I just change to florence. How is it?

I'm in room3 at florence hospital. I think I'm the last one for today and the doc just came in and said I should go peepee because they were coming to get me in 15 minutes. OMGOMGOMG.

Cindysc is done and is tearing up the halls.

Am I the only ine who wonders if 100 years from now people look back at what we are doing and say it was barbaric? They are cutting away 80% of our stomachs!

As far as I call tell it's like a rural community hospital. Very clean, people are VERY nice. Bed is comfortable with cozy comforter. The equipment is older than what you would see on the US...X-rays aren't digital, older model EKG machine, IV pump, blood pressure machine. But nothing that impacts care. I'm being taken back in 15 minutes.

I'll tell you what, I ended up being the slow baby seal in this bunch! I spent the day/night/part of next day vomiting and running my husband ragged getting towels, the nurses, etc. Then sleeping the rest of the time. Didn't get as much walking in as I would have liked but saw Cindy in the hall :)

But after a seconds nights sleep I felt good and after a night at the hotel I feel great! We sat in the restaurant for Easter brunch and went for a short walk in the neighborhood and sat by the pool.

Everyone from the coordinators to the doctors and the nurses at florence Oasis have been fab! I am so glad I did this!

Happy Easter everyone!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
