sprintman 0 Posted November 16, 2006 I've had a surgeon visit and am working my way through the preliminary stuff. This hasn't been submitted to insurance yet. Had an endoscopy study last friday and got a green light.....Had a nuclear treadmill on monday....gasp gasp and got a green light there....have my psych eval friday......then they will submit....I am starting to feel hopeful.. The truth is more recently I had even given up on trying to diet......not that I was ever real successful. It had all just felt kind of discouraging.....Now I feel like this may be a real chance. I quit smoking 15 years ago (which is when the weight really started moving up) and that seemed easy compared to food because it was black and white you had none or you were still a smoker. Dieting meant choices and it wouldnt be long before I was making bad ones....I feel like this will be getting closer to the black and white if I use this as a tool and stick to the 3 meals and quit when I sense fullness......Am I just kidding myself or has it worked this way for some of you? juliegeraci 7 Posted November 17, 2006 Hi Sprintman, You will find that you are far more satisfied after surgery. It is true that you can only do 3 meals a day. Some days I even have trouble getting those down, I'm not kidding. What you are feeling is natural. Good luck to you
