weightlossmomma85 8 Posted February 18, 2013 I was sleeved feb 5th and I was looking on pinstrest today and I saw a pin about organized blankets and I just cried cause I wish my blankets looked that. Is this normal to be emotional?
MOMW 71 Posted February 18, 2013 Being emotional is all part of the process. It is very normal in the early stages. You whole system has just got turned around. It will take a few months before it settles down.
Richard Foor 655 Posted February 18, 2013 There is also research that show that weight loss cause release of estrogen which will make you emotional.
juny 93 Posted February 18, 2013 i've been emotional as well, always considered myself to have an even keel but lately i'm just sad, i know it's partly because I'm mourning food, and because i don't have that i'm wondering if I made the right choice. I know it was the right choice but the anxiety just keeps bringing self doubt up over and over, like a broken record. I'm making a call tomorrow to my pcp for a therapist to get me through at least these 6 weeks of full liquid diet I'm required to do.
hopeful77 2 Posted February 18, 2013 I promise you it will get better. I thought I could not get through the emotional mess you are in after the surgery. First month is hell. 2nd month gets easier....by the middle of 2nd-third month you are actually happy.

Cyndra327 8 Posted February 26, 2013 I've been down too; I swear if it wasnt for this app, I might've lost my mind already. It really helps to hear from others going through this. My husband tries to be susupportive but he really has no idea. I was sleeved the 14th and honestly was not as prepared for this life change as I thought I was. I know that my 23lb loss is great, but Ive already platoed for like 4 days and feel like I should be down another 10 by now atleast! I mean really i'm not eating like anything!! juny 93 Posted February 26, 2013 Mine little episodes have been tapering off. Which is good, mornings are the hardest. By the end of the day, I'm happy that I got through but then I dread the next day because it's going to hard in the morning all over again. I do feel a little more in control but not myself just yet. I was crying most the day cause i can't find them. Sorry to hear about that! What a bummer!. I get extremely weepy around my DH. He is out of town on business- this is our norm but right now I cry each time I see him. Especially because he is so worried about me.
erp 2,016 Posted February 26, 2013 Which I should add, my crying only makes him worry more.
Sleever963 12 Posted February 26, 2013 After the gastric sleeve procedure we must deal with our hormones. Some of us have more problems than others. Hang in there and it too should calm down to your norm. Hang in there! I cried at the drop of a pin for a few weeks.
