Is there any excersise you cant do ? Any excersise restrictions ?

That depends on your individual situation. How far out from surgery are you? What pre-op injuries do you have? I personally have a difficult time with squats and lunges and running because of old knee injuries. Others will have problems because of back injuries or abdominal hernias, etc. The best bet is to talk to your physician about any restrictions s/he wants you to observe. The good news, though, is that you'll be more able to move and exercise as the weight comes off your body. :) I'm actually looking forward to returning to the gym on Tuesday after a months-long break due to massive gallbladder pain. I have no doubt that I will be weaker than when I was working out before, but I'm determined to get back up to my full weights routine and half hour plus of cardio per day. You will also be amazed at how quickly your fitness level improves! :)

I was sleeved on the 11th. I asked my doctor when I could start excersing again. He told me as soon as I feel comfortable doing it. The only restriction I was given was not to lift anything over 10 pounds for the first 2 weeks. I've had a ton of energy since trying to go to sleep last night and decided to try using my elliptical today. I only did 6 minutes because I could feel some strain in my abdomen and didn't want to over do it. For me, I just don't want to get out of the habit of excersing, which is really easy for me to do.

My only suggestion is to follow your doctors instructions. I don't seem to have the issues that a lot of people have that I've read about on here, but everyone is different. I was 262 going into surgery and am 250 today. My only problem is not being able to truly tell if I'm full, so I just follow the diet I was given very strictly. My worst fear (as is probably a lot of people that have this surgery) is getting back to the place I started this journey, which isn't very healthy. This surgery, to me, is only just a push in the right direction for me to live a healthier and thinner lifestyle. Good luck! I think you are already on the right path!

I was cleared for cardio 7 days post op so I do the elliptical every day. I have not been cleared for strength training though. Hopefully when I go back on March 5 that will happen.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
