No game 14,437 Posted February 17, 2013 Why not turkey chili?? The Protein will be good for you! Also hummus is good and refried beans..
JP69 116 Posted February 17, 2013 Check out other posts, there are a lot of ideas from people on here . I eat lots of tuna, salmon, tilapia. chicken salad, refried Beans with cheese and salsa. There's the infamous ricotta bake too. Hope this helps. Try a few crackers too.

Why no fish are you on soft yet or still puréed? Saltines, are for some of us, allowed in the soft food stage.,

I did Turkey meatloaf and gravy or chicken and gravy even a little watered down instant mashed potatoes chicken and gravy it will be warm and filling.. rxkid2384 28 Posted February 17, 2013 ok i just re-read everything. it says soft food. chicken/tuna salad....fish baked without breadcrumbs, eggs, refried Beans, chili etc. soft cheese. nothing about carbs or crackers though.
JP69 116 Posted February 18, 2013 Crackers are on some peoples list I am still on soft foods, but I never pureed them. Yeck!my Dr said as long as you chew it to a soft consistency before you swallow you should be fine. I have been eating everything I posted earlier since the beginning of week three with no problems, other than I do tend to eat to fast. Also on my list is toast, toasted really well as to get all the moisture out. But then again mot everybody can tolerate exactly what other people eat. marymouse50 20 Posted March 10, 2013 I am on day 20, monday is my soft diet stage, but today decided to try scrambled eggs, since i had egg salad last week and i was ok, my stomach is hurting now. don't get it, no butter or milk in the eggs, I also tried lobster bisque on friday, that I bought from costco and that did not sit well either. The best so far has been the turkey chili with a little enchilada sauce, laughing cow cheese and greek yogurt, That kept my sanity all week, never get tired of it. I am also a little sad that I gained 6 ounces this last week from eating pureed foods,I know its the stall week, but gaining is a major bummer. Oh well, maybe this next week it will break. So far I have only lost 7 pounds since surgery day.
