Hey I am coming up to the soft foods part of my diet, just curious what foods are all ok to eat during this time. I do not have a big list of what is approved or not. Thank you!

I was told I could eat anything I could run through a blender. The T-bone steak was crunchy and ruined my blender, but a guy's gotta have his steak! :P

Seriously though, I was eating boiled eggs (sometimes in egg salad as well), yogurt, baked potato (just a little), blendered chicken breast, re-fried Beans and salsa, and bananas.

I'll be three weeks out Tuesday! Different things I eat are cream of wheat, mashed potatoes, fried egg mashed up really good (and chew it up good!), pudding, Jello, cottage cheese, yoplait greek yogurt, laughing cow soft cheese wedges, no sugar added applesauce, grits, and Soup. Today I tried tuna from the can with a little mayo mixed in and it went down well.

Always check with your doctor first because each doctor is different. My Dr allowed these things.

Yogurt, creamed Soups (no potato or corn), cottage cheese, skim milk, baked fish, canned tuna, salmon, crabmeat, boiled shrimp, chicken or turkey as long as it's soft & moist, creamy Peanut Butter, cheese, eggs, baked or broiled ground beef patty, well cooked veggies...my dr does not "allow" grits, potatoes, or oatmeal due to them being starchy foods. The whole point of this surgery is for us to lose weight and by filling our bodies with starches that's not going to get it. Even though we're having surgery to lose weight doesn't mean we can't put it back on! So my mindset is to just stay away from those foods as much as I can! Good luck!
