Chaparra 85 Posted February 16, 2013 Ok, so I'm starting to think that the scale is lying to me. I just had surgery 02/11/13 and can't believe how much my weight has gone down. I was 262 on the day of surgery and have lost 12 pounds since. I have been following the post-op diet very strictly. I have my follow up appointment on Monday, but am wondering if it is normal to lose this much so fast.
donewithdieting 44 Posted February 16, 2013 No this is possible. Most people have a really good 3 months then it starts to slow down. Enjoy the ride, and just follow the rules of eating and moving. Good Luck

Bigepc 84 Posted February 16, 2013 We all lose at different rates. Tomorrow I will be 1 month post op. I lost 23 lbs on the pre op diet in 3 weeks and 33lbs since surgery on January 17, for a total of 56lbs. Keep up the good work. It feels great doesn't it? mdselby 1 Posted February 17, 2013 Hi this is my first time posting. I also had surgery 2/11. I am down 5 lbs since surgery. 25 total. I have had a lot of pain since surgery. I have seen so many people that have had very little pain. I was hoping to be one of them. I think the hardest thing is that prior to surgery I was never without iced tea. Now I can't even stand the taste of it. I am having so much trouble getting fluids in. I tolerate orange sherbet, potato Soup and chicken soup Unjury. I'm not big on sweet drinks. Does anyone have any suggestions.
