Why the sleeve and not bypass?

I have dumping syndrome now every time I eat mostly . It's not a good feeling. I'm worried I will still have the same issue with sleeve . The doc wants to wait to see what my endoscopy reveals on to why I'm always dumping as soon as I eat maybe then I could choose wisely .

I had the sleeve because I did not want to reroute and deal with dumping and malabsorption. If the sleeve is not enough it can be changed to the RNY. I believe they call it a duodenal switch. I am hoping to not resort to that. I want to keep the mindset that the sleeve is a tool and I must use it not abuse it! Good luck to you!

My gallbladder was removed 5 years ago .. That was not fun . I had pancreatitis at the same time

Iwent with the sleeve because it's most like lormal operation. Success is still dependent on eating habits for any surgery. I worked with a nut for a few years, 1. to try one last time w/o the surgery, and 2. to make sure Iewas ready for the changes in eating habits. Because of this ri'm confident I will be very successful with my sleeve.
