rmkwk1 0 Posted February 16, 2013 My surgery is Monday Feb 18. I am trying to plan ahead, planning what to eat (drink) starting from the day I get home from the hospital until I can add the cream Soups and yogurt. Any suggestions on what to fix and when? How much of any one liquid item will I need to fix for one meal? I figure I will probably fix too much, considering what I am used to making for myself to eat, All suggestions will be appreciated. Khloé 89 Posted February 16, 2013 I'm on Clear Liquids for 3 weeks post-op. Sucks but makes things kind of easy. I figure I will stick to Water, crystal light, broths with some Protein powder added, juices, etc.
Traci J. 207 Posted February 16, 2013 I wouldn't buy too much food; I bought all the Soups, yogurts, popsicles ,etc...and hardly ate any of it. I wasn't hungry and was hard enough to get my Protein and liquids in to really eat anything. And now that I can eat pretty much anything...all the stuff I bought for post-op is still sitting there because I don't want them anyway. Good luck and I hope you have a quick recovery. cherice95403 13 Posted February 16, 2013 Find a Protein Shake you can tolerate. I spend the first couple of weeks on broth and Protein Shakes. It would take me all day to get down one shake. I wouldn't be too concerned with food.< /p>
