How do you tell the difference between not being able to tolerate a food VS eating too fast/too much??

Try a little bit of it, eat slowly and see what happens. In other words, if you control for eating too fast and eating too much, any reaction is due to intolerance.

I was really looking for people to tell me what they experience with a food that they cannot tolerate. Vomiting? The runs? What?

Okay. I can't help you with that.

If I eat too fast or too much, I get a pain in my belly/stomach/chest area.

I haven't had any vomiting at all since my surgery. I have had some bathroom runs, but it isn't any more often than before surgery.

You start spitting it back up.

I have issues with that to this day lol. If you're not paying attention and swallow big chunks of food, you'll have them come back up your throat. Not in a throw up way, just in a spit up way? Hard to explain.

How I know I can't tolerate foods: I feel like **** about 10 minutes afterwards. I feel out of it, kind of like being high. Not a good feeling. Then again, it doesn't happen with many foods for me.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
