Valentines Day

it seems like every year in the past - i was always on a diet - beginning of the new year et al

i NEVER wanted chocolates, (wanted) but didn't buy :(

this year......

i got a phone call from a "cleaning agency"

they told me DH had called sending "help my way" ???!!!!!

In other words he hired a company to clean the house!!!! :)

wow, great gift idea

"maybe" not the most romantic thought - but for me - what a great surprise!!!!

he's a smart cookie - after all he married me?

the more romantic stuff will happen later

I'm so jealous!!!! :)

That is awesome!!!

My house is so messy I would have to clean before the cleaning crew came :(

House work is getting easier but my back still goes out if I'm not careful

What a wonderful gift from your hubby!!!!

Call me what you will, but on my first date (with my eventual wife), I told her that I do not Celebrate Valentine's Day. I am not going to let Hallmark tell me when I should recognize the significant other in my wife. If she has to be told when to recognize me as an important person in her life, then I don't want any part of it.

Buuut ... we recognize each other and our affection for each other throughout the year. I bring flowers home and buy her some "thing" occassionally. I will make her favorite meal in the middle of the week for absolutely no "special" reason other than to see her smile. I try not to have it be on a "special" day so as to make every day special.

I know a lot of people do this, too, and also Celebrate Valentine's Day, and that is great. It's just not for me. This morning, I gave my wife a kiss and said, "Happy Valentine's Day," and that will be about it. I will be taking my daughter out to the fanciest restaurant in town tomorrow. She is looking so forward to it trying to find a "fancy" dress.

Call me an old codger, but this works for me.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
