One of the perks of being over weight is having a fat personality.

A fat personality is someone who is sensitive, loving, funny and caring. Just like a teddy bear!

I'm not trying to discriminate, this is only my way of seeing things and I don't take myself seriously, so should you!!

Ok so, I think most fat people always have better personalities than most skinny people!

People who have always been overweight may care more about having a good personality and a sense of humour, they also tend to be more affectionate and forgiving. Maybe it's a psychological compensation mechanism?

I hope I never lose my fat self..

Dear god, please make my body thin and my personality fat.. Amen.

I think this is true pretty often. There are nasty fat people too but for the most part, especially women who GREW UP FAT usually have to work harder and develop a bit more character because we could never bat our pretty little eyelashes and get whatever we wanted. Now of course, not all thin people had it that easy either, but I am talking generally. Generally the thinner, prettier you are, the easier certain things are going to be.

I was afraid I would not be taken seriously as a professional, and its a major reason I had this surgery.

I agree with this completely. My weight has fluctuated so much, although I've never been "normal" weight as an I adult. It just went all over the place from merely overweight to obese to morbidly obese back to obese....you get the picture..

I was treated MUCH differently in my professional world during each category..... sad but true.

Thank you. That helps my mind be at ease. Sometimes I still wonder if I did the right thing, because I am experiencing one hell of a stall at only three weeks out of surgery. I just had that guy feeling that my weight WILL matter professionally, whether thats fair or not.

I never thought of that until more than one person asked me how can I be a health professional and be overweight? Very rude and insensitive!

Yeah, its hard to command respect and get your patients attention turned to losing weight when you yourself are CLEARLY obese. I couldn't even expect them to take me that seriously. It's a major barrier.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
