"Back" history filling up with Ad address

Recommended Posts

One of the ads that are appearing on the site is filling the back button's history with it's web address. After a few minutes the entire back button history is full and it's impossible to go back. I noticed it happening with the forums & the blogs, though it seemed to happen more quickly in the blogs.

Not sure what you're referring to. Are you able to send a screenshot ? Which ad and ad location ?

Any idea which ad is causing this ? Have you seen this behavior on any other sites ? Scratching my head at the moment.

Another possibility.....your computer or browser is infected with a virus or adware. Have you scanned it lately ?

Use google chrome. then get the adblock addon. I never see a single ad - ever. It's fantastic.

I'm at work using IE... so i'm positive it's not adware or a virus. I use Chrome at home with adblock as well. IT security policy prevents me from installing Chrome though.

Something called Ad nexus maybe?

When I google the domain showing up, these are my results. You should also check this out. Seems like it could be a browser redirect virus.

We use DoubleClick for Publishers to serve all ads. Never heard of these guys before.

I'm highly doubtful this is stemming from one of our ads. Haven't received any similar complaints.

I turned off adblock just to test it out. I didn't have this problem. I think OP may want to run a scan. If you don't have any software download AVG or AVAST, they are free and pretty good.
