KatieOkieDokie 171 Posted February 13, 2013 I really hate my scale. I have to lose 75 pounds before I can have surgery. I have to lose 60 before they will schedule. I have lost 55 lbs. I am right there. I even have an appointment on the 28th to weigh in at the office. I started at 424 I am now 369 and my scales (I have two) have started to give me different readings. Meaning I will weigh myself with the green scale three times and each time it gives me a different readings. Then I'll weigh myself with the white scale. Same thing. Three different readings. I know the two scales never read the same. But I would think the same scale would give the same reading. Maybe I need to chill and relax. JeniM73 56 Posted February 13, 2013 I understand your frustration. My scale (I only have one...but after today I might just get rid of the darn thing) always gives me different readings. I usually step on it until I get the same reading 3x's. I hate my scale too!
JerseyGirl68 1,172 Posted February 13, 2013 UGH, I went out to buy another scale too when I kept getting different readings. But WOW, great start! Those last 5 will come off, you still have time. Best of luck!
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted February 13, 2013 Oh wait, the doc's scale is even going to weigh something different too. So please, do yourself a favor and step away from the scale. Just keep doing what you've been doing and you will be joining us on the big loser's bench really soon.
honeymunki 76 Posted February 14, 2013 I'm sorry you're discouraged, but why are they making you lose so much before surgery? If it was easy, you would weigh 175 lbs already!
SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted February 15, 2013 Yup, yup yup.... I'm in the midst of losing weight presurgery too and I HAVE to make 290 by March 13th. It got so bad that I had to get a new scale. I can handle it being a little off if it's within a pound. but mine was off by 10 pounds at times... and I had no idea what my actual weight was. New scale is SO much better... now I complain that it never moves! (I seem to be stuck temporarily) but that's better than the crazy weights my old scale used to give me!
