carly25 6 Posted February 13, 2013 Not sure how far out you are from surgery, but I had very bad stomach acid for awhile after surgery. I have GERD so they said the stomach acid could increase for awhile after surgery. I am 11 weeks out and the excess acid is gone. I am still on prevacid though. What you are describing sounds like you may be eating or drinking too fast or possibly too much. I got alot of severe pain just underneath my breast bone whenever I ate or drank too much, too fast or ate and drank at the same time. I would also get very nauseous and had cold sweats. I also vommitted a couple of times. It is better now since I learned to never eat and drink at the same time and ate/drank slowly. Hope you're feeling better soon! bee0927 12 Posted February 18, 2013 Hey guys thank so much for your respond! After the results came back I was told that I have gull bladder stones! I will be having surgery to get that removed! My doctor told me this can happen after a person loses alot of weight! I am about 6.5 months out from my surgery! If anyone else has these pains my suggestion would be to get check out just in case before it gets worse!
christy38 17 Posted February 18, 2013 Reflux is one thing and gall bladder is another. Ho did they associate the acid with gallbladder?
bee0927 12 Posted February 18, 2013 It's not the same thing... He didn't relate them however it was the only way I could describe my pain until we figured out what was going on.
