"MekaOnAMission" 12 Posted February 12, 2013 Hello everyone! Hope that you all are in great health and good spirits. It's official now, I've been sleeved. My surgery was Feb. 11, 2013. Everything went very well. I'm still in the hospital and My doctor also repaired a hernia. I've been walking around a lot and currently sipping on shicken broth and lemonade crystal light in a medicine cup.

"MekaOnAMission" 12 Posted February 14, 2013 Thanks everyone for the get well wishes! I am 4 days post-op and things have been going really well. I came home from the hospital on 02/12/13. I'm sore in my abdominal area(5 holes). No major pain thou the Dr. did prescribe Lortab elixir. Overall my surgery was a success. It was very good and comforting to meet nurses that tended to you and who had actually had the WLS. They told me many of stories and gave very good advise. As for my diet right now, i'm on full-fluids but I can't consume it all at one time, because I get this very sharp pain when I try to consume more. My doctor told me to use the medicine cup @ least 6 times in 1 hour, to stay hydrated and walk a lot. The tropical sugar-free popsicles are my favorites. They don't seem to bother me at all. starfish108 15 Posted February 14, 2013 Hi I had surgery on the 11th and have been in major pain, nauseousness, dry heaving, I feel like My gut has been ripped out (well it has). 2 days in the hosp now home. On Lortab too. I cannot eat or drink anything, get so sick it comes right up. Gas also has been there but the worst pain is in the abdomen where I think my stomach was cut. I feel like I use that area to get in and out of bed and it's excruciating, I get worried I may develop a hernia. Has been very tough for me, I did not expect such a hard time. Was thinking I would breeze through this having read all the success stories. Like I said there's no pain on earth I have experienced like this post op pain. praying it gets better. MY STOMACH IS SORE AND ITCHY WHICH IS A TRUE INDICATION THAT THE WOUNDS ARE HEALING. I FEEL BETTER TODAY THAN YESTERDAY AND ABSOLUTELY NO VOMMITTING THANK GOD. HOW ARE YOU FEELING? Reminds me of how I feel after drinking regular milk (im lactose intolerant) before being sleeved. I'm drinking some carnation instant Breakfast for the first time right now. Treading lightly!! Really don't want it to come back up...the incision on my left side is so sore...it's horrifying to think how painful that would be.
