triciavr77 32 Posted February 12, 2013 I'll ask today when I meet w/ the hospital, but just curious, did anyone take a sleeping pill the night before their surgery? I'm already feeling a bit anxious and I'm an insomniac as is, I can't imagine how much rest I'll get Thursday night! I know obviously I'll get some on Friday when they put me to sleep, but still, I don't want to go in groggy and I have to arrive at the hospital at 5:15 AM. What did you guys do to stay calm the night before?
Susie in Lima 320 Posted February 12, 2013 I didnt take anything but you are right, the night before was pretty restless. My main problem was that I was worried that I would oversleep and miss my early appointment. Good luck on your surgery! Keep us updated.
foxymomma 91 Posted February 12, 2013 I was worried about "complications" I was the same way before my c-sections. I gave my daughters big hugs and told my family I loved them...even made a will. Sounds depressing but I wanted things to be in order

Sounds depressing but I wanted things to be in order That's not depressing. I thought of leaving a note to my husband just in case...Still haven't made up my mind on that one. But yes, you just want to have things in order before you go to the hospital.
SMO 193 Posted February 12, 2013 I had to be at the hospital (which is one hour from my house) at 5am so I took an ambien at 7pm and slept like a baby. I had no problems with my surgery or recovery.
