Week 7 done! I ran for 25 minutes straight. :)

Terrific....you're definitely a runner. Great job.....

Great job everyone.

Uh BTW.....if you can avoid it....don't break a toe while trail running. It sucks...don't ask me how I know.

Whoa! Weird experience.. I got up and almost blacked out and stumbled into a wall?

Sometime I get dizzy if I stand up (after surgery)

But this was a whole New level!

I've been experiencing that since surgery and only suggestion docs have is to drink more cuz my blood pressure is now low. I'm not on any BP meds so I am trying to drink at least 3 32 oz cups per day. I get to eat salty stuff too cuz my BP is low so can't complain unless I actually tip over and hit my head

I was terrified, I thought there was no way I could run 5 minutes in week for. I got over the fear and thought what do I have to lose?... Guess what? I just finished W4D2... And I did it! You can too! Doesn't matter if it takes one time or five times, you are doing it! Go for it!

Finally took it outside Saturday. Did 2 miles and had to stop. My mother brought her dog to me to puppysit for the day. I figured it would be fun to have a companion. Note to self, don't let a dig on a retractable leash have free rein! Lol

Today back on the treadmill. Did 2.25. I'm happy with that right now.

You're an animal. You're killing it.

Thanks! I can't believe you have only 7 pounds to go! Imagine being only 7 pounds from goal!

Week 8 day 2! 30 minutes straight of running. Not as hard today since I was physically feeling a lot better.

I have the couch to 10k program and it looks like week 8 ends the 5k part. I think I will just keep going on the program and not worry about increasing my speed yet. I did almost 4k today including the walking.

Did 2.5 miles this am. Still working on distance between runs and not so worried about speed. I'm just happy I'm still running and now I'm not so worried about telling people I'm running. Before I was embarrassed to say I was running because I was afraid of being judged. Like people thinking I was too fat to be running. Now I don't care anymore. I'm a runner! No ifs, ands or buts!!!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
