Well I'm doing it on the treadmill... I looked at the treadmill version and it was a printout? Right?

About the same thing I think...

Almost the same, but it doesn't say anything about speeds or do you just adjust to your own pace. I walk at 3.5 .. OMG, I'm so afraid of running lol!

I walk while watching food network.. Kind of like dangling a carrot in from of a donkey :D I had to learn to walk fast because my daughters next to me run and I don't want to make them wait forever while I finish our 3 miles. Plus, I get sooooo bored I'm fit to be tied.

There are a lot of things under the heading of the "more you do it the better it gets"

That hold true for me... But running is not one of them :D

It will get easier. It only gets better if you take joy in the accomplishment of being able to run. If not you may never love it....but it will get easier every week. Give it a month and then compare your feelings then to now. You might be surprised.

I have a feeling that I may not progress as fast as some ( I may have to repeat day one multiple times) but I will not give up, I came here to be accountable with this.. so feel free all of you to pester, push, prod or be down right mean to keep me going! :)

I'm a little bit different. I'm absolutely IN LOVE with c25k and I've tried it in borrowed sauconys that had a lot of miles left in them and in my vibrams and my knee pain has gone from bad to worse. I'm really sad about this as I'm starting to think I might not be able to do this program any more and I looooove me some running so much I just bought the 10k runner app last night for $3.99. 10k! I really want to be a runner! Ran this morning and about 3 hours later, pain.

I think I'll be hanging this up for a while. Maybe I need to lose more weight and work on strengthening and loosening up my muscles with squats and lunges and other knee/leg exercises. :(

I'm really upset. I've not found another exercise as fun, freeing, and rewarding as this has been in the 4 days I've been doing it. It also burns a lot of calories in a little time.

If anyone has any suggestions as to ways I might be able to continue, I'm all ears! I may see if our local high school has a track open during the summer and start doing that. I absolutely can't afford to get fitted and get shoes, dh has made that clear.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
