Butterthebean 8,146 Posted May 29, 2013 I might try my husbands.. I just hate that feeling it actually feels like it throws off any rhythm I might have! Believe it or not it actually gets better with time. I guess your body gets used to it. But I understand, it's annoying as hell in the beginning.
SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted May 29, 2013 I did week 1 day 1 (again) today. I made it less than half way through and had to walk the rest.. Just going to keep repeating the day until I can do it and then move on from there.... I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm still 259 pounds at only 5'5"! Frankly I'm surprised I could even run for an entire minute! 3 No game, rootie3 and Butterthebean reacted to this
*Dean* 1,594 Posted May 29, 2013 Hey guys. Everyone looks like they're in the zone, congrats. Been missing in action for a while. Still running. I'm doing a 5k about twice a week and 3 CrossFit sessions a week. Hope you're all well, Deano 1 No game reacted to this

When I move to the outside I plan to start about week 5 and go from there. Good job and stay with it!! 1 LisaT678 reacted to this

deedadumble 1,033 Posted May 30, 2013 Yay! I can't wait to get mine tomorrow! Let me know how you like it.Oh and congrats on the 5k! Thanks! I bought it, but haven't finished putting it together so I went outside for a run today. It was hot and miserable, so I'm looking forward to running indoors! deedadumble 1,033 Posted May 30, 2013 I just got mine this morning and I'm in no shape to run.. But I did my first 20 minutes on it and plan on going back for more in a little bit.. I'm starting at a place extremely out if shape I can tell.. I always thought I was in no shape to run. My run is a very slow jog. The great thing about Couch to 5K is you start very slowly. Day 1 is repeat 5 times: jog 45sec, walk 60sec. 5 min warmup before and 5 min cool down after. I've had 2 knee surgeries, arthritis, and chondromalacia in both knees. I started 4 weeks after surgery when I was 237 (February 13). I'm now 208 and have 38 more pounds to goal (I'm 5'11"). If I can do it, anyone can! If things are moving around, strap them down and get moving (I love my compression shorts). 1 Butterthebean reacted to this

*Dean* 1,594 Posted May 30, 2013 That's awesome Laura! You've been a beach walker for a long time, I knew you'd enjoy it. Have you downloaded the C25K app??

[/quote'] I down loaded it and looked at it a little while ago.. I guess I have to manually speed up and slow down the treadmill as I'm doing it? Because as you speed up the treadmill it takes a few seconds to build up faster...

Yeah, give yourself a few days to get to know the machine and what a comfortable walk speed for you and a 'comfortable' jog speed........... I'm excited for you!
