Wannabethin, you look GRRRRREAT! You have come this far, I have a feeling you will do just fine for the rest. I wish I was as far as you. You are one of those inspirations that help us slow losers to keep plugging away. I guess you noticed how well many are doing. Stay in touch, we have missed you.

Lisa, I lost Sunshines email. Haven't heard from her. Have you? You are doing so well with your weight, I have a feeling you will dig pretty deep to find the "will power." Dig Lisa Dig!!! You can do it!

Everyone have a good weekend!

Thanks Sugarbear! You'll get there! I have done good & bad. I try to be good but the bad comes along with it. I have ups and downs but plan on getting there. Are ya'll like this... one week I feel like I need a fill the next I feel too full.... Just don't know? Even after 9 mths with the band. I still have learning days. I think the old habits are still there and try to come out..... I don't think they will ever go away....

Lisa G. did you sugar high go away? At least it was just a sugar high and not the scales reacting like mine did. I had tooooo much sweets last week...... Ya'll take care!

The second Mon. night for the Texarkana group. That should be the 12th unless they change something. Always check noscales.com

I am on vacation right now and have access to a computer for the moment so I thought I would check in with everyone. Hope everyone is doing good. I go back on the 12th for a fill and and the meeting should be that night. Have to make a return trip for that. I will check on the noscales site to be sure about it. Take care all.

Hi everyone! I don't know how yall did it, but I haven't been able to get on the site for a few days.

Hope everyone is doing fine. I haven't lost anything in a while, but I haven't gained either. I HAVE to find the time for some kind of exercise.

Yes, Genia.... my "sugar high" went away. I just hate that feeling after you come down off of a "sugar high". lol :) Whew.... I won't do that again!

I have kinda been sore the last few days. I wonder if it has something to do with the weather???? I know I haven't been eating too much. Anyway, I'm not so sore this mornin.

Yall have a good day! :Banane34: :)

Hi everyone. I have a question, I had a gall bladder attack a few years before the lapband, didn't get it removed.

Now, I have lost 27 pounds in the past month and have started having the same feeling I had when I had the gall bladder attack. The heart burn feeling, then the back labor feeling, a never ending circle, from my chest to my back. Sometimes as long as an hour, sometimes no longer than 30 minutes.

Can you have mini attacks that comes and goes or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?

arkie, I would have it checked out just to be on the safe side. I have heard that the so-called yp-yo dieting (gaining and losing) has contributed to gall bladder problems. Mine has been gone a very long time, but I still remember the feeling and it's not very fun. By the way 27 pounds is great for a month!!!! Keep it up and it won't be long before you see the "new" you! You need to fix a ticker to keep up with your progress. I think most of us use tickerfactory.com. Fix one so we can cheer you on. lol

Hey everyone else. Hope yall are doing fine.

Have a good day and blah, blah, blah. You know what I mean! lol :)

Hey everyone!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone is great. I haven't been on in awhile. I had to make a quick trip to Illinois. My grandmother passed away Thursday. I due for a fill November 15th. Still haven't reached my sweet spot. I don't think I've lost anything this month. I almost at 30 but just cannot reach it. I'm trying not to get discouraged. I'm going to have to start excersing more. Kids keep me on the road so there is limited time. I guess 4:30a.m. is starting to look good.

I went to get checked out by Dr. K yesterday due to being more sick than usal. I'm okay, but I did ask her what I need to be concerned about slippage-wise and erosion-wise. She said that to be very concerned and come in if all of a sudden you have pain, vomiting that doesn't go away in a 24 hour time frame, reflux at night, or pain that radiated into your back. Arkie, I would get in to see them just as a precaution.

I've just been kind of sick on Monday and Tuesday with sharp pain. It's a lot better than it was after the 1st fill and took me by suprise. I called on Wednesday..of course I felt a lot better right after I called and fine yesterday...and we just chalked it up to maybe being too tight. If I'm sick more than once a week, then I need to call them.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is doing ok this morning.

I'm feeling better after a trip to the dentist Thursday. Believe me, before I got there, it was a nightmare. I sure was glad I had some left over pain meds from my band surgery. I won't tell the gorrrrrrrry details. I just feel better. lol

Arkie, how are you this mornin? Feeling better I hope. Listen to lo2us. She has been in the "too tight" category before and she knows what she is talking about. If you have any doubt, call the Docs. I think that has been standard advice on this thread. Better safe than sorry.

Sugarbear....... how are you? Are you home yet?

Susan.....I went to Wal-Mart this mornin, where were you? I went early. (before 7am) I guess you weren't out galavanting around yet. lol How are you?

Glo? Are you still hanging in there?

Genia....... what's up?

I'm thru asking questions now. Yall take care. Talk to ya later :)

I go for my first fill on the 15th. I am still having pains with what fills like the gall bladder attack I had a few years ago. The pain starts like heart burn then goes around to my back between my shoulder blades. I just have a feeling that its my gallbladder again.

So, this feeling could be something other than gall

bladder?

I just read the post from lo2us, that is something that is starting to worry me but I never dreamed this could be anything other than gallbladder, guess because I have been there , the only difference between now and then is I was on the potty lots then and now I hardly ever go unless I use a stool softener. gross. sorry. Maybe when I start adding some green veggies I will get going in that department also.I use Sprivia and one of the side affects is Constipation.< /p>

I think you could be describing esophogial spasms too or being too tight. Get them to check it out. Are you sliming and getting stuck even though you follow the rules?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
