likebefore 0 Posted October 15, 2008 Thanks NewJulie... I am 32. I think the main thing for me is thel lack of energy and feeling soooo hungry around 4:00. The rest of the day is okay. I have a 6 month old and a 5 year old and I teach so I am hoppin'! Thanks for the reply... I appreciate it. I am going to be strong although I already "cheated" and ate a few crackers. it's okay... i stopped at 4, so there isn't much damage... off I go to worry some more! hippmom 2 Posted October 16, 2008 (edited) well guys i am within 3lbs of my goal i set for myself and i never thought i would get this close to that goal, but i need to rethink that goal. i knew when i decided on 195 that that was still a high weight, but i thought i would be happy at that number. i think i want to keep trying to lose another 18 lbs and that will put me at 180, my bmi will still be overweight but it will be on the lower end of that chart. judging by the way things are fitting i think i will be in a size 12 and that will be a dream come true. so i will soon change my ticker but right now i am just taking a miinute to enjoy the old ticker!!!LOL you newbies(and i consider anyone under 12 months new) just hang in there!!! sometimes it just taked a while to get to our goals!!! A lot less 1 Posted October 16, 2008 hey i figured out how to get 2 tickers!!!! Too funny, Hippmom. I get frustrated trying to get one ticker. Are you feeling better? I have been going to the gym and I weighted on that scale at the center and IT says I've ONLY lost 3 lbs. I called for a fill on the 27th. I cancelled the one for last month. I can eat a lot more now. I just hope that the scales at the dr's office says different. I hate those scales that has that slide thingy.
Sugarbear 2 Posted October 16, 2008 Welcome Likebefore. I haven't had any problem talking to Dr. H. I used to see Dr. K but the last several times I only see Dr. H. If you have questions or concerns be direct and ask them. He has always answered mine. So has Dr. K when I saw her. Write your concerns down so you don't forget them. Sometimes in the change of conversation that happens. Stay with the pre-op diet. It is for your saftey durring surgery. Shrinks the liver and gives them more room to work. You can have sugar free popcicles to "chew" on if that helps you. Just stay with lots of drinking, sf drinks. It helps to have something in that tummy as much as posible. Maybe you can fool it about being empty. LOL No seriously, it is very hard, but it will be worth it. I was the biggest weenie on here about the pre-op diet. Guess what? I made it without cheating! Hang in there, this is your first step in becomming a healthier you. Just think.....you will never see that # on the scales again. It should start getting easier now. Hang in there. plain 12 Posted October 16, 2008 hi everyone... i am scheduled to have the surgery on oct. 24th, and am now on my liquid/salad diet for preop. I am doing well on the diet, but I have only lost about 4 pounds, and I am on day 6. I am starving all the time and don't know what is going on. I am afraid that my body is not going to be ready for surgery. AHHHHHHHHH! Also, can anyone give me any advice about the upcoming surgery? Anything I need to know about Dr. H? I heard he is very difficult to talk to, so I am asking you that have seen him.I need some advice.... help! Dr H is / was my doc. I don't find him difficult to talk to at all. He sometimes goes off on these tangents, but he's always answered all my questions.

newjulie 1 Posted October 16, 2008 Glad to see you back Sugarbear! Was getting worried about you. Malteselover, Sugarbear has LOT'S of good, sound advice. When I first started here, I read all her messages. You can certainly trust that she knows what she is talking about. My daughter is 30, has a 7 mo. old and a 3yr. old, plus she is an RN. She is considering this band as well, but says she is so busy and active with the kid's, her job, etc. that she is doing WW until St.Michael's decides how they are going to assist with the ins. coverage. I see her so exhausted sometimes, I often wonder how she does it. Betty called me back yesterday evening and set me an appt. for next week with Dr.K. Oh! and Yes! My hubby is on blood pressure med. We have mentioned to the Dr.'s that maybe that is the problem, but they just look at us like we are ignorant!! Imagine That!

newjulie 1 Posted October 16, 2008 Sugarbear, I do not know...I was just messing around and discovered I had a private message, but after I read it, couldn't figure out how to delete it. I don't know where my email address is in my profile, but it is jul53@whti.net at home, which I seldom check because we are still in the dark ages and have dial up! At work it is julie.tabler@us.army.mil And I am here more than I'm at home!!! Glad you're back on line. I missed you and thought maybe you were sick. There is a virus going around here at work. It's not pretty!
