NewKristen 356 Posted February 11, 2013 I get the hiccups like 15-20 times per day since I was sleeved on 1/28/13. Anyone else get the hiccups more now than they did pre-op?
PrincessMiranda 17 Posted February 11, 2013 Lol, I absolutely do!! I even hiccup in my sleep! I've found that about a tsp of PB2 stops them. Good luck!!!

*Dean* 1,594 Posted February 11, 2013 I did early on but it was generally when I'd eat a little too fast. I'm more of a tortoise than a hare now and the problem as stopped
Oliver's Mom 258 Posted February 11, 2013 I do too! Good to know Dean - I will further slow down my eating. Thanks

NewKristen 356 Posted February 11, 2013 Thanks everyone for the info. The odd thing about mine, is that I get them when I haven't ate or drank anything in awhile. I will slow down more on drinking, and see if I can prevent them at those times. Maybe then it won't seem as annoying when it happens when I haven't ate or drank anything! Ha ha. notmeanymore 629 Posted February 11, 2013 I also get the hiccups more often now that Im post-op. My hiccups are a sign that I should not take one more bite or Ill be sorry. First I burp a little, that tells me I have room for maybe one more bite then I hiccup and that means 'put the food down!'. LOL. I love my signals. When I hiccup my hubby will go "youre full!". Sara-in-MO 0 Posted February 11, 2013 Well it makes me feel better to know I am not alone! Ha ha ha! What does PB2 stand for. I assume Peanut Butter something? PB2 is a powdered Peanut Butter brand that can be mixed into Protein shakes, or whatever you want to mix it in. It has a lot less calories and fat than regular peanut butter. And eventually you can reconstitute it to put on toast . It comes in chocolate PB flavor, too, which is delish!
sramos89 260 Posted February 12, 2013 I get them ALL the time now- I think it happens when I have eaten too much! Because they happen after a meal. Just my thoughts!
notmeanymore 629 Posted February 12, 2013 Last night I had a case of the hiccups for no reason at all. It went on for a good 5 minutes. I get them way more frequently now since being sleeved. I dont mind it and my hubby thinks its funny.
AStephenson 159 Posted February 28, 2013 I was just wondering this...10 days out and hiccups quite frequently, was hoping it was normal. I'm still on liquids...
