Help! I'm Addicted To Cheese

Recommended Posts

Well last week I went in for my yearly exam with my gyno and she said "how old are you?" I said "31" she said "time to start taking Calcium suppliments!" I said "What??? I'm getting OLD!!!!" hahaha. So I think I'll just eat a lot of cheese and skip the old people suppliments for now;)

cheese is a decent source of Protein - especially when you cannot get anything else down! It became my saving grace when other things would not work. So, don't cut it out completely...as everyone else said, enjoy in moderation!

Cheers!

TexasRose the voice of reason and moderation. Yes Mam

Last night I had a slice of turkey on the side with pepperjack, shredded sharp cheddar (oh yeah i went back to the store yesterday without dd and got it) and swiss melted on the plate....ooooooooo sooooo goooood.

Old Josette just watch the calories and be sure you are getting the needed amout of Calcium.< /p>

Did I say I love cheese. I love it on any kind of meat, chicken, beef, turkey but I have not tried it on ice cream Jimboss.

ItsGottaGo if you live near me we can get together and have some cheese.

I was doing that too, until I realized I couldn't stop at one, two, three, you get the picture. I think my restriction is definitely gone! I am waiting for the dr.'s office to call me back to make an appointment for another fill.

Oh man I love cheese. Loved it since I was a kid. Have it durn near every day. Nummyness!

And I have to say, the overall total pound consumption has reduced...and so has the poundage on the scale.

There's no reason not to eat cheese! Heck, cheese sticks are my "perfect portable bandster food" of choice! I almost always have a cheese stick somewhere near by when the snackies get a hold of me!!!

cheese is one thing I refuse to give up...I gave up chocolate (it's been a whole week now!) but cheese has enough redeeming qualities that I can tell myself it's good for me. I'm eating a lot less than I used to, so I'm counting that as progress. I love refired Beans, salsa, and sharp cheddar for dinner!

I'm a cheese freak too! I think I must be part mouse or something. Any way, I eat cheese. I've given up sweets but I gotta have some cheese.

Now I get the low-fat versions. Fat free cheese is disqusting to me so forget that, but most low fat versions taste great. Plus cheese does have a pretty good Protein value so I go ahead and have some.

I love cheese, too. With my restriction, I can't over do it and at times I can't eat is at all but I love it. My store has a horseradish chedder that you can get in thin slices. It's supposed to go with roast beef and I am sure it does but it would be pb city if I tried roast beef so I am just stickin to the cheese...uuuummmm...it's so good.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
