Khloé 89 Posted February 10, 2013 I saw one on Tuesday. She was very kind and helpful, just addressed my current eating habits and educated me on what would have to change after surgery, made sure I understand what to expect and know what I'm getting myself into. She sent my surgeon the letter saying I saw her for insurance purposes the same day that she and I met.
outrigger42 58 Posted February 10, 2013 I had to see one for 6 months. Didn't learn anything new but was a requirement
beba238 123 Posted February 11, 2013 I had to see my PCP for 6 months. I was approved for surgery but the hospital i was approved at called me to tell me that they were no longer taking my insurance. They called me 5 days before my visit with my surgeon to schedule my surgery. I went to another office who helped me faster because of what happened and they asked for the nutritionist letter. I did see the dietitian and nurse practitioner who told me about what and how to eat after surgery. Etc. Maybe that's what they need?
kcinpa 159 Posted February 11, 2013 I had to go one a month for three month to see the nutritionist, it was required by my insurance for the approval. We just went over good vs bad food. And the last visit she gave me the after care instructions for after the surgery. Haven't seen her since the surgery.
