The one I like best is GNC Unflavored 100% whey Protein. It's 130 calories per scoop with 24g of protein per scoop. I've added it to Soups, hot cereals, hot chocolate- and it's great! I especially like it with SF Carnation Instant Breakfast and unflavored almond milk for the perfect Protein Shake.< /p>

Does the GNC one mix up thin, like milk consistency, and without a chalky feel and after taste?

To me the unflavored GNC powder in milk tastes like Cereal milk. I mix a little unsweetened cocoa powder and agave nectar.

I have the Isopure unflavored, and I don't recommend it. Definitely adds a weird taste to things, to me anyway.

I have the Unjury unflavored and don't like it at all. I've kinda given up on all Protein powders. When I need to add some protein I use the Fage 0% plain yogurt, it's 20g of protein, tastes very bitter by itself but tasted great in smoothies with frozen strawberries, sweetener and a splash of milk :-)

I use Chike chocolate powder, plus two tablespoons of chocolate PB2 powder, 8 oz of milk. About 40 gms of Protein. Doesn't taste bad, in fact one of coworkers tried and said it tasted like chocolate cake batter.

Hmm chocolate is not "unflavoured".

Hmmm...no kidding?!? Only posted because the person above me stated they had given up on all of the Protein powders. Unflavored is flavored-adds a weird taste to anything I added it to.

I'm with you. I can't sand unflavored. It's awful. vanilla all the way!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
