DEALING WITH ATTENTION

Recommended Posts

I get attention now at almost 300 lbs. I've always had a flirty personality. But everyone knows I'm crazy in love with my hubby of 19 years. So I feel I can take any additional attention with a grain of sand. My hubby asked me what I was gonna say when men started flirting with me more. I told him same thing I say now. I'm gonna break out singing "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me. " Lol

I'm a middle aged widow of almost two years now and wouldn't know where to begin with flirting.

My figure finally started to come back with 62 lbs gone and I have 30 lbs to go to get to my doctor's goal for me. I do look younger than my age, but probably not as much as before since the more I lose the more wrinkles emerge.

I've gotten a little bit of attention lately from men my age and much younger men. It really makes me feel uncomfortable. I have no idea how to respond so I pretend I don't notice it. Not sure if this will ever change or not for me.

my boyfriend is super jealous, way before I even had the surgury, now its just worse. He thinks im cheatin or something. When I was big, I've always been friendly and love to laugh and smile, but I dont think he can handle it now that im smaller. I will admit, its partly my fault because I do love attention, but at the same time, Im young and Im a natural show off. If Im going to go out u better believe im goin to rock some nice heels and a nice dress. Few months ago my feet was too wide for nice shoes and my body was too large for those sexy dresses!!!!! :(....but now, I get to look how I've always wanted to look :) I cant let someone take that away from me...If he would just go to parties with me maybe he wouldnt have to worry about whose looking at me...Were on a break right now bc all we do is argue and I cant deal with his insecurities right now...We both have to work on ourselves

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
